ELLIS ISLAND

so, yesterday, me and the middle school students and a few teachers all went to ellis island. first, we drove to the train station in new Haven. that was fun, and also the part leading to the train was cool. then we went on the train which was funa and it was cool. we got off at grand central station, and we took pictures of it. then we had to go on the subway to get to the ferry. we had metro cards, except when i tried to slide mine through, i didn't slide it enough and i would try to walk and the bar wouldn't move, so i bruised myself a bit, finally, someone did it for me and i got through!!!then we were trying to rush through the doors to go onto the subway, and you know they dion't stay on for such a long time and we were trying to rush in, when the doors closed. two people were in. so we had a fright, but thankfully, we met up with them. then we had to wait in line for the ferry, we had to go through a meatl dectetor. then we had to wait to go on the ferry. it was three floors, and we were on the top (the deck) it was rocking before it left the dock, and it was SCARY. but Baruch Hashem, nothing happened. we stooped by liberty island and got close to the statue of liberty, but we were on the boat the whole time. then we got off at ellisa island and saw many cool things. we went into the registry room and then there were these other rooms that we went into. there was a balcony too so we went on that. we also went into the gift shop were i got 2 things. when we came back to New York, we saw Spiderman. and then there was this woman dressed as the statue of liberty, and then we tried to take a picture of her, but she held up the flag in front of her (she had a flag) and wouldn't let us take a picture. she pointed to her money box, and we realized we had to pay her to take a picture!! Baruch Hashem, nothing bad happened on the way back and i got a roast beef sandwich at mendy's at grand central, except it didn't taste good. io had a great trip, anmd here are soem pictures to prove it!1
