i was looking forward to seeing ma, as people do look forward to such events. i did my research, found the bus i would neeed, only to realize the next day, 5:20 meant am not pm, and the bus doesn't go from Tzfat Thursday after0on. I researched farther to realize i had to take the bus to bnei brak(blah) the to tel aviv from there-and yet another city bus to the hotel. heh, when our bus stopped at the rest stop, as buses do when traveling long hours, i took note of the other bus which had the #bus due for tel aviv, so i went other to a passenger standing out side the bus and ask "l'tell aviv" yep.. so i got my bags and switched buses, i of course sat in the back, so the driver wouldnt take notice.and the bus was FULL of soldiers, which i suppose was good, cuz they enjoy assisting young sem. girls. well, actually the soldier in front of me helped after eavesdropping to my phone conversation, but i cut the conversation short, in telling the guy confidently im chabad "oh" and he turned back around.
ma's hotel was great location overlooking the beach. we took walks there. we got a tour of something zionistic, and one of the teachers i noticed was carrying around a snoopy doll. yes,m kind of odd to see a 35 year old women carrying a snoopy, then i realized she was taking pics. of her snoopy doll everywhere, but then climax of it all, her camera got stolen, but dont worry snoopy was still in her hands, though i do feel badly that her camera was stolen.
Friday night was a funny experience i will remember for a while, well, i really might forget, but i can always lookin up on this very entry. all the people in ma's group joined in to a snazy circle and sang the shabbat prayers, it was kind on topsy turvy because shalom alachem came before licha dodi, and funny enough amongst all these feminist they ddidnt even sing ashes chayil. but they did include the prayer for sun set, in the event you did not hear it- i will confirm you curiosity is is quite poetic!
then we had to go up and down the scary grey thing they call stairs. funny how the entire place is beautiful but the stairway would have fit a haunted house! and you should have seen the way the twisted!
but it was very very nice to spend time with ma! (moshe- i brought her to m-bagels, but Alex wasnt there) then last night i got back very late so later thaat all the lamps had gone out and i had to walk all the way to my campass in the pitch blackness in the darkness of the night! so i used my only defence and walked with pride and of course covered my hair with my scarf. no man stared up with me- though the guy walking behind me saw me cover my hair as i turned on to the midrachov and he probably caught on- though i will never know, cuz i will never ask!
